Villa Skärtofta

When the historic villa, Villa Skärtofta, which is part of Vår Gård in Saltsjöbaden just outside Stockholm, opened earlier this year, textiles were a key component of the interior design. With interiors that combine historical charm from 1897 with modern design elements, a unique atmosphere has been created that captures both a sense of home and elegance.

For Vår Gård, the ambition has been to create an environment that feels as modern as it is classic, while also enhancing the Italian influences found in both the interior and the menu. The textiles soften the villa's architectural expression, where robust materials such as oak and iron dominate, and curtains and upholstery in natural, muted tones add a sense of comfort and luxury without compromising the grandeur of the space.

Here, guests can enjoy the best of both Swedish and Italian design culture. Every detail has been refined, from curtains that gently filter the light to soft cushions and upholstery that make the environment both sophisticated and inviting.
