Svensson's fabrics create dynamic and inspiring environments at ArkDes

Svensson has contributed textile solutions to the newly renovated interiors of ArkDes, Sweden’s national centre for architecture and design, located on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. As the museum reopens its doors after a year of reconstruction, our materials play an important role in shaping the new visual and functional identity.

The project is led by the renowned architectural firm Arrhov Frick, known for its minimalist and sustainable architecture, with a focus on function and material reuse. In the exhibition rooms, where objects from ArkDes' unique collection are displayed, materials from Svensson have been selected to create a flexible and dynamic exhibition experience. By combining aesthetics and function, our products help to enhance the public space, in line with Arrhov Frick’s vision of making ArkDes an open and vibrant place for learning and interaction.

The fabrics chosen for ArkDes come from Svensson's Climate Screens division, which is typically used to optimise climate conditions in commercial greenhouses. In this project, they have been used in an innovative way to create an indoor environment that fosters both creativity and flexibility, contributing to an inspiring atmosphere for museum visitors.
