Ombré receives
the Good Design Award 2016!
Ombré is a winner! Selected by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, the elegant curtain Ombé was announced as winner of the prestigious GOOD DESIGN® 2016.
Ombré was presented in the Svensson Spring collection of 2016. The expressive fabric designed by Inger Högberg, was well received and appreciated by the audience.
"Ombré is simplicity in its most advanced and beautiful form. We are honoured and proud of have it nominated for the Good Design award", says Dorte Bo Bojesen, Head of Design at Svensson.
The ombré look has been achieved using an advanced jacquard technique which allows the colour to grade gradually over the total width of the fabric. Traditionally a jacquard loom weaves patterned fabrics with flowers and ornamentals. Ombré takes the jacquard technique and aesthetic to the next level with its modern, abstract surface. With its weight and beautiful drape.
GOOD DESIGN® is the world’s most prestigious, recognized, and oldest Design Awards program organised annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
