There's a story worth telling behind the El Aljibillo farm in Spain. The Baños Molina family established an eco-sustainable farm a few years ago, which is now on the verge of obtaining Detemer certification. With an Environmental Quality seal already in place, the farm recently hosted two open days for schoolchildren from CEIP Torremar. The first day saw 6-year-old children visit the farm, while on the second day, small 8-year-old students were given the opportunity to explore it.
"In one of the workshops, we have taught them to make their own pots with reservoir plants for auxiliary fauna ," describes Ricardo Baños , Jr. , "these pots will be sold at the charity market and the money raised will go to the fight against childhood cancer”, he continues.
Over a span of two days, Nelson Perez and Francisco "Paco" Martin Usero, both climate consultants from Svensson, conducted a workshop for 200 children on safeguarding crops from pests. They showcased the power of leveraging insect screens through a hands-on demonstration and interactive training.
Svensson takes great pride in nurturing the next generation of growers and contributing to the development of our local communities. We recognize the significance of investing in the future of agriculture and sharing our knowledge and resources with the community.
